Mission Bay Project:
Instructions:
Create a food web of all the marine organisms that live in San Diego's Mission Bay using this list (click here). Be sure to follow the same format as the picture above. All producers will go on the bottom with each subsequent level higher on the page. All arrows should point to the organism eating it. When multiple organisms are part of a group, just write the group name (e.g. plankton). Best to format your food web with your paper in landscape orientation. Here is an example (click here) to get you started. For full points your project should include the below. Once finished, take a picture of your model and upload on the performance task. Don't forget to put your name in top right corner!

- All organisms listed in the document must be included in the drawing. See document above. You do not have to draw the organisms, but rather just write their names.
- Trophic levels are correctly oriented (producers on bottom and consumers on top) and arrows point in the correct directions.
- Decomposers (organisms that decompose dead things) and scavengers (organisms that eat dead things) are included in the food web. Since all organisms die and are broken down by decomposers and/or eaten by scavengers, I showed you in the above example how you would neatly add them to your model using brackets versus arrows.
