Step 2: In this step you will be calculating the number of pounds of each element in your assigned squid (click here). Your squid will have a specific weight. The following is an example of how you would calculate the number of pounds of oxygen in a 50 pound (lb) living thing. Complete the table in your performance task with your assigned squid weight. You may need a periodic table (click here) to complete determine the symbol for each element.
Step 3: Obtain a sheet of graph paper from your teacher. On the graph paper, create a bar graph showing the number of pounds of each element found in your body. Include the titles below in your graph. Once finished with your graph, take photo and upload in performance task.
- Horizontal Title (Don't forget units) - If it's easier, just put the symbol of the element. Use the periodic table (click here) to help you determine the symbol.

- Main Title (Top of Graph) - Combine the horizontal and vertical title to create your main title.
